Goals are targets that we aim for, move towards and celebrate when we get there.
Action Plans can feel like to-do lists which are necessary but inherently feel less exciting.
Taking a Results Goal and finding the sub-goals that are action-focused can bring the excitement to the sub-goals. Actions Goals are exciting all on their own! an Actions Goal would be say a junior marketing manager that consistently posted 5 times per week for 20 weeks and hit 100 posts! Of course they have to be good quality but the consistency in posting is worth celebrating in the beginning. Then shifting to a combination of Actions and Results Goals. Then shifting to a results focus, once the person is a confident leader with the toolkit to navigate taking action, seeing insights and then taking new action quickly and consistently.
Bring the excitement to this stage in the business and this stage of a manager’s development by setting Actions Goals!
